About TMI Executive Resources

TMI Executive Resources was launched in January 1987. The company has evolved over the past 26 years to the point where TMI now has worked with approximately 5000 clients and has provided outplacement services to over 500 organizations. TMI currently operates offices in Wellesley, Hartford, Stamford and Washington, DC.

TMI went through a significant transition in the early 90's. Because it was becoming more obvious that, in order to discover career opportunities, it was critical to get as much quality face to face time with decision makers as possible, we began to use our active and alumni clients as a primary resource for networking. At this point, with 5000 people in our client base all over the world and in virtually every industry sector, we can provide access through their networks to hundreds of thousands of professionals and executives. Moving to this model has separated TMI from other organizations in the industry. It allows our clients to use the warm approach rather than to depend on search firms and job boards to develop activity.

TMI’s business philosophy revolves around the concept of providing high quality and incisive consulting services to our clients, follow on support with implementing a campaign and facilitation through our client resources to ensure the development of a productive network. Our commitment is to provide support until the client finds something new and to be available in the future for ongoing career management.

What TMI Does For You

At TMI Executive Resources we work primarily with high mid-level and senior level executives, entrepreneurs and professionals who are looking for a better environment, a new job, a career change or career advancement. Most want a place where they can achieve more upside both financially and from a quality of life standpoint. Therefore, our initial objective is to ensure that our clients have a clarified focus of what their goals should be to achieve these objectives.

In the career consulting industry TMI is unique because we utilize our extensive network of nearly 5,000 clients as a primary resource.

First we develop a personal business plan for each client. Then we use our unique people-centered methodology to ensure that our clients are developing and maintain their networks, to ensure that they are getting good quality exposure to the right contacts.

When you become a client of TMI Executive Resources, you are a client for life. TMI will provide services not only during your initial search, but throughout your professional career. Success Stories

WL:

New situation at [Company XYZ] is working out great. Used techniques TMI coached me in to land it!

DRB:

Thank you for taking the time to meet. It occurred to me as we were meeting that it has been nine years since I first joined the TMI network. I remember my trepidation at writing “the check” needed to gain membership. In retrospect, the fee turned out to be a real “deal”. I have the advantage of being a member of an expanding network of executive level managers (peers), the pleasure of meeting and having access to people such as the legendary Norman Strait, the opportunity to share my experiences and insights with others seeking their next leadership positions and the luxury of having virtually the same team in place as was in place in 2003.
